About Open Stone House
Open Stone House is a small informational resource about everyday care for cats and dogs in Canadian households. It collects reading notes on three ordinary parts of living with animals: how feeding routines settle, how coats and skin stay healthy, and how cats and dogs stay comfortable through cold winters and warm summers.
What this resource is
The notes here describe routine, day-to-day care. They are written in plain language, focus on habits that are easy to keep, and point to recognized Canadian and North American veterinary and welfare organizations for anything that calls for professional judgement.
What this resource is not
This is not a clinic, and it does not offer diagnosis or treatment. Nothing here replaces a consultation with a licensed veterinarian who can examine your animal. When a note touches on a health concern, it says so and directs you to a qualified professional.
How the notes are written
- Plain, neutral language without commercial pressure.
- General, widely accepted care practices rather than invented statistics.
- Links to authoritative organizations for further reading.
- Regular review, with an update date shown on each page.
